Environment and local community

Avinor's activities affect the environment both globally and locally. Therefore, we take environmental responsibility and actively work to reduce this impact.

  1. Climate and Environmental Policy

Avinor will be a driving force in addressing aviation's climate and environmental challenges.

  2. Noise zone map

Avinor is responsible for mapping and managing noise from civil aviation. Each airport is required to prepare a noise zone map.

The noise zone map can be found here.
  3. Construction restriction area

Building Restriction Area (BRA) is a map of areas with restrictions related to development around airports.

  4. Runoff map

The runoff map shows the runoff at Avinor's airports.

You can find the runoff map here.
  5. PFAS

Avinor has, following orders from the Norwegian Environment Agency, initiated extensive cleanup efforts to prevent the spread of PFAS compounds in nature.

  6. Emission permits

Avinor's emission permits are available at www.norskeutslipp.no under Land-based industry and Airports.
